Telford itself is named after Thomas Telford the renowned civil engineer and is one of the UK s most successful new towns. At the heart of Telford is the biggest and best shopping centre in the county.

Close to Telford are nine museums celebrating all that the region is famous for. The infamous Ironbridge Gorge is a world heritage site and is credited as being the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

Close to Telford you will find several other towns of interest including Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
