BS 3632:2015 – The New Build Standards

By 16, March 2017News

The launch of the new BS 3632:2015 Specification for Residential Park Homes and Leisure Lodges in December 2016 takes into account changes in the latest technology and the improved energy efficiency performance to allow Tingdene Homes to continue to build and produce homes and lodges that are fit for purpose, eye catching, with high thermal performance.

Our aims and mission is to improve this in all our new homes and leisure lodges. The new document sets the standards and specification for all residential park homes in terms of improved ventilation, thermal insulation for warmth and room sizes, improved noise reduction and acoustic travel. It addresses how to construct warm external walls, floor and roof, and our products achieve the high thermal performance in an energy efficient manner.

The document and been developed using a consensus-based collaborative approach with input from such organisations as Build Research Establishment, The National Caravan Council, The Health Protection Agency, and fire authorities amongst others.

The NCC Product Approval Scheme for peace of mind.  The Product approval scheme provides Tingdene manufacturing with a common threshold for compliance with BS 3632:2015 standards, a back-stop to manufacturing and provides reassurance to consumers.

The scheme allows a third party inspection of the NCC to approve product. There are two strands of inspection, one formal inspection and the other a surveillance inspection.  These are carried out periodically to ensure compliance and for your peace of mind that Tingdene Homes are leading the field in quality built, compliant, fit for purpose, park homes and holiday lodges.
