Tony from Bath
Tony needed accommodation while he built his new family home so the Tingdene Valetta Holiday Lodge that he has purchased is ideal for putting on his own land. Great value, spacious living accommodation that suits his needs exactly.
Tony is a stone mason by trade, self-employed, who wanted a brand new home, to exacting requirements for himself and his family. To achieve the style of home that he wanted he purchased a 2 acre site and acquired planning permission to build his dream home.
The location couldn’t be better, as you leave the main road in Bath, just tucked away behind the busy main road, is Tony’s land. As you stand where the new house is to be built you can’t really hear the main road, which is almost strange. As you look in front of you all you can see is the river and beautiful countryside, it is a relaxing, tranquil environment.
Tony plans to project manage the build himself and be close on hand while the work is being done. It was therefore ideal for him to purchase a home that he could have positioned on the same site as the home being built.
He has a marvellous view from the Valetta lounge and is soon to build a 12ft decking leading from the lounge.
Being a stone mason, Tony chose to have a wood burner within a stone fireplace in his lodge, also tongue and groove ceiling which personalises the home exactly how he wanted it.
Tony is also thinking ahead to when he can move into the home that is being built and plans to use the Valetta for holiday letting to bring in further income.
Tony first saw the Valetta at a show and was immediately taken by the home as being perfect for his plans.
Tony said that he has had a good experience while choosing his Lodge, the sales person that looked after him was brilliant and felt that Tingdene’s Visitor Centre was very good.
