Despite the uncertainty the world has faced for the past year, Tingdene Homes has benefited from the buoyant housing market and the unprecedented demand for holidays in the UK. So much so, that to keep pace with the volume of orders flooding into the business, we’ve increased the output from our factory to cope.

To adapt to this period of rapid change we’re growing bigger each week with new faces arriving almost daily. It’s a real success story which we have our brilliant team to thank for. 

Unprecedented demand for our homes and lodges doesn’t just mean more people in the factory. Every department has seen growth and is a credit to themselves. Working together we continue our promise to consistently improve the quality of our builds, to invest in our workforce and to provide exciting new homes and lodges which are built with exceptional care and attention to detail. 

We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome all the brilliant new starters to the Tingdene family and wish them well in their careers here. We’ve created a series of blogs in which we’ve asked our newbies a few questions to get to know them a little better. You can view these in the link below…


First up, we’d like to extend a warm welcome to our teams in sales, procurement and design…

Daniel Evans (Area Sales Manager – Wales & Midlands) 

Daniel has been working in the industry for the last 9-10 years and was attracted to the role at Tingdene because “it is a family run business that’s focused on putting the customer first”. Daniel says that “working in sales can be hard at times however having a company behind you that operates in line with your own ethics makes your job a whole lot easier and far more rewarding”. Over the years he has developed some fantastic relationships which he continues to nurture in his new role. Whilst working closely with park owners, their respective retail customers and our industry partners, he hopes to help the business grow and to become an integral part of the team. 

Daniel’s hobbies include skiing and snowboarding; when it’s not snowing you’ll probably find Daniel out on his motorbike or enjoying his boat.  

Leah Winter (Coordination Administrator) 

With a varied career background in administration and accounts, Leah was attracted to the role at Tingdene because she likes the idea of working for a family run business. Within her new role, Leah hopes to support her fast-paced department to make it run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

When Leah isn’t juggling the demands of working in coordination, she likes to relax by going on walks, spending quality time with her family and heading to the gym.

Carol Willcock (Sales Receptionist) 

As the first face our customers see when they walk through the door, Carol hopes to give great service with a smile. With an extensive career history in sales and administration work, Carol is enjoying the variety reception work is offering.

Carol’s hobbies include singing, dancing and social enterprise.  

Terri Irving (Sales Executive) 

Already being familiar with Tingdene and many of its employees, Terri knew that Tingdene was the company for her. Having worked in the park home and lodge industry for the last few years, Terri has experience matching customers with their perfect homes, lodges and parks. In her new role, Terri aims to increase her knowledge and understanding of the sector whilst supporting and furthering the success of the sales team.

Terri enjoys spending her spare time with her two children and friends.

Aidan McNamee (Assistant Sales Executive) 

Being a Finedon local, Aidan was attracted to Tingdene due to it's historical attachments to his hometown. As this is Aidan’s first sales role, he’s keen to learn as much as he can from the wider team so that he can offer the very best service to his growing list of customers.

In his free time, Aidan likes to relax by playing video games, drawing or playing his guitar.

Ian Bourne (Head of Procurement) 

With vast experience in the procurement sector of both the manufacturing and property industries, Ian saw the move to Tingdene as a great opportunity to utilise his knowledge and skillset to add to the success of the business. Ian aims to make lasting change and improvements over the coming months. He hopes to inspire his new team to work together to move the business on and unlock many opportunities and benefits.

Whilst he’s not busy at work, Ian enjoys football (more watching, less playing) and cycling. He’s also the proud owner of a new dog and a couple of kittens courtesy of some peer pressure from his wife & kids.

Christian Scott (Materials Procurement Manager) 

In his previous role, Christian worked for one of Tingdene’s suppliers. As the account manager, he built up strong relationships with many of the Tingdene team. Following covid, Christian was in search of work, so when offered a role at Tingdene, it was an easy decision to make.  During his time here, Christian is working on saving money for the company by developing relationships with suppliers and getting the best value for their marketing leading products.

To relax after a day of negotiating deals with suppliers, Christian likes to play a round of golf.

Helen Jones (Material Planning Controller) 

Helen has enjoyed a successful career in purchasing over the last few years, holding a number of positions, most recently as senior commercial and development buyer. She said the role at Tingdene “looked like an exciting opportunity with a great group of people” which prompted her to make the move. Helen aims to improve processes, increase efficiency, and develop our supplier relationships whilst working at Tingdene.

Helen loves to travel, walk her dog in the great British countryside and spend as much time as possible with her family and friends.  

We’d like to also welcome Simon W and Deborah L who has also joined the Material Planning Controller team.

Thomas Draper (Design Technician) 

Thomas has had a varied career in design, most recently working in travel retail producing airport installations. He saw the role at Tingdene as an opportunity to broaden his career in design, learn about a new industry and use his skills to help further the success of Tingdene’s design department.

Thomas has a keen interest in cars and enjoys gaming in his downtime.


There’s also been many more new starters in our office-based team including Shona M as HR Assistant, Dora C as Health Safety Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Danny C as Maintenance Operative and Glenn S as Maintenance Operative. We welcome you all and hope you have settled in quickly! We’re happy to welcome our fantastic new starters to the office team and manufacturing plant. We hope you’re all enjoying being part of the Tingdene family and progressing within the company!
